I make Pot Style Calls from a variety of woods, calling surfaces, sound boards, and strikers. I prefer to keep the “Custom” in my calls by allowing you to design the call that you desire. I am also happy to help you choose materials that provide you with a call that meets your expectation for tone and appearance. 

I also make Trumpet style Yelpers by request.  I typically make them from African Blackwood with Delrin or Wingbone mouth pieces, but will make from other woods of your choice. 

I typically finish my calls with three coats of Marine Grade 
Gloss  or Satin Urethane as I feel that offers the best protection while at the same time enhancing the appearance of the wood. I will, upon request, use  a Tung Oil finish. 

I will write your name on the call, write the kind of wood, playing surface, and sound board used in the call, date it, sign it, or leave it plain, whichever you prefer.

I will also make your striker with a straight or flared tip and if you have a preference towards thin or thick strikers please indicate that also.

Following is a list of materials for you to choose from for your Custom Call. Not all materials are available at all times and if there is something that you would like but don’t see on the list please ask, if I don’t have it, I will try to obtain it. I can also make you a call from your own suitable piece of wood.

I also make what I call my “Segmented Call” which there is an example of in the photo section.  I have made  these calls with a  total of between 98 and 250  individual pieces of wood all cut and glued by me. I do not use any inlays! These calls are priced according to the kinds of wood you choose for your call and are priced higher than my standard calls because of the additional time required to cut and glue this  many pieces of wood. Pricing for my standard calls with striker start at $45.00 plus shipping. The price can exceed this based on the type of wood you choose for your call, as the price of burls and exotics can be quite high.
